Below is the tutorial for trading on our SEI Mainnet!

Reading Guide

• New to Web3 Wallets: Start from the beginning to learn how to create and connect your MetaMask wallet.
• First Time Using SEI Network: Begin from the section “Import USDC Contract to SEI Mainnet”.
• Used SEI Network but New to PredX: Skip to the section “Deposit USDC to PredX”.

Create/Connect to Your Wallet

For users who have not connected their MetaMask wallet yet, follow these steps. If you have already connected your wallet, skip to the next section. For this tutorial, I will use “MetaMask” as an example. The other wallets might have some feature differences, but the general processes are the same.

1. Download MetaMask from their official website: https://metamask.io/

2. If you don’t have MetaMask wallet yet, create one following the instructions. If you already have one, click “Import an existing wallet”.

3. You can always find your MetaMask wallet by clicking the extensions on Chrome.

Connect your wallet with PredX.ai

1. Visit PredX.ai and click on the “Connect Wallet” botton.

2. Import your wallet or create a new one according to the guide above.

3.In the pop-up window, select your interests, and our AI will recommend content you might like based on your choices.

4. This section will display the current blockchain of your wallet. Click on it and make sure you are connected to the SEI network.

Import USDC Contract to SEI Mainnet

Switching to SEI Mainnet

1. Click the network icon in the top right corner to switch to SEI Mainnet.

2. Welcome to our Sei v2 Mainnet page!

3. Once connected, click on your balance and then click “Deposit”.

4. To add USDC to SEI, first, link your SEI wallet to EVM via this link https://app.sei.io/.

5. The SEI interface is clean and user-friendly. Let’s connect your wallet.

6. Complete the CAPTCHA and wallet signature steps.

7. Now that your SEI address is linked to EVM, return to PredX’s deposit interface to add USDC to the SEI Mainnet.

Add USDC to SEI Mainnet

1. If your wallet has no USDC on SEI chain, follow these steps to convert other tokens to SEI’s USDC.
2. Based on the following external article, https://www.datawallet.com/crypto/bridge-to-sei, I’ll demonstrate how to convert ETH to USDC on SEI:

How to Bridge to SEI （Will provide a detailed example next）

The official SEI Bridge is a reliable platform for bridging assets to SEI. It connects with various Cosmos SDK chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Osmosis, enabling fast token transfers between networks. The platform supports multiple bridging cryptocurrencies like USDC, ETH, and WBTC.

Steps to Use SEI Bridge:

1. Access the Sei Bridge website and link your wallet.
2. Choose the cryptocurrency you intend to send to the SEI Network.
3. Input the amount you want to bridge and initiate the transfer.
4. Follow the instructions displayed on your wallet to complete the bridging process, ensuring your assets are successfully transferred.

Example: Converting ETH to USDC on SEI

1. I will demonstrate using ETH to convert to USDC on SEI.

2. Select ETH as the outgoing currency and SEI’s USDC as the receiving currency on the SEI Bridge.

3. I will use Squid v1 for this demonstration. On this page, choose ETH as the outgoing token and SEI’s USDC as the receiving token. Link your wallet and double-check your wallet address.

4. Click confirm and wait for the transaction to complete. Ensure your wallet has enough SEI tokens (e.g., $1 worth of SEI) for gas fees for subsequent transactions on the SEI network.

5. Verify your token transfer on BaseScan and SEI’s official page. Once SEI’s official page shows you have SEI and USDC tokens, you’re ready for the next step.

Fees

When transferring assets to SEI, the main expense you’ll incur is the network gas fees, which fluctuate depending on the activity level of the originating blockchain. The official SEI Bridge does not add any extra charges on top of these gas fees for using its bridging service. To better understand the total costs involved, check the latest gas prices on the blockchain you’re transferring assets from before starting the bridging process to SEI.

As a result, we highly suggest you bridge a few $SEI tokens into your wallet before you actually deposit USDC to our platform in order to avoid any inconvenience or non-smooth experience.

Deposit USDC to PredX

1. Click the deposit button and follow the instructions in the extension to deposit USDC into your PredX account. Note that, due to legal reasons, IP addresses from mainland China and the United States are prohibited.

Trading on PredX

Buy

1. Return to the main page PredX.ai and select any event that interests you.

2. To make a trade, choose whether you believe the event will happen (“YES”) or not (“NO”) by selecting the corresponding option.

3. Enter the number of shares you wish to buy in the “Shares” field. Once you have made your selections, click, for example the “BUY”, button to execute the purchase.

4. Confirm your purchase information in the pop-up box and click “PLACE ORDER” after checking that it is correct.

5. When you see the confirmation image, it means your order has been successfully placed!

Sell

1. To sell your position on this platform, select the “SELL” tab.

2. Choose the outcome you want to sell (either “YES” or “NO”), enter the number of shares you wish to sell in the “Shares” section, make sure you are on the “limit” order mode to smooth your experience when the liquidity is not that high and then click on the “SELL” button.

3. Ensure you have the available shares as indicated in the “Total Yes shares” section.

4. When you see the confirmation image, it means your order has been successfully placed!
